The continuation of Iranian attacks exacerbates tension in the region

Kuwait expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the sinful Iranian attacks that targeted it this Sunday morning, which reflects an insistence on a repeated hostile approach and represents a grave violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the State of Kuwait, a direct threat to its security and stability, and the safety of its citizens and residents of its lands, and a grave violation of the rules of international law, the Charter of the United Nations, and Security Council Resolution No. 2817.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed, in a statement carried by the official Kuwait News Agency, that “the continuation of these attacks constitutes an extremely dangerous escalation that would exacerbate tension and instability in the region, threaten regional peace and security, and undermine diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing escalation and settling crises by peaceful means.”

She reaffirmed that the security, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the State of Kuwait are inviolable and that the State of Kuwait reserves all its rights to take whatever measures are necessary to protect its security and preserve its sovereignty in accordance with the provisions of international law and the Charter of the United Nations.
