Sharjah Police organizes an innovation laboratory to develop the security support system

Sharjah, 12 July / WAM / The Sharjah Police General Command organized the Security Support Innovation Lab in cooperation with the University of Sharjah, with the participation of an elite group of specialists and strategic partners, with the aim of exploring innovative solutions that contribute to enhancing the efficiency of the security support system and improving the readiness of security operations in keeping with future trends in policing.

Brigadier General Dr. Jassim bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, Deputy Director General of the General Department of Operations and Security Support, stressed the keenness of the Sharjah Police General Command to establish a culture of innovation in various fields of security work, pointing out that the Security Support Innovation Lab represents an institutional platform for generating qualitative ideas and transforming them into applicable projects that contribute to developing the security work system, raising operational efficiency, and enhancing the speed of response in keeping pace with security and technical changes and consolidating Sharjah Police’s leadership in developing innovative security solutions.

The laboratory witnessed the participation of representatives of 8 departments from the Sharjah Police General Command, along with 11 strategic partners. Its sessions focused on four main axes, which were developing the security system for vital and police facilities, enhancing the response to dealing with illegal gatherings, raising efficiency in protecting individuals, in addition to developing the logistical support system for field operations. The laboratory’s outputs resulted in the generation of 24 innovative ideas that contribute to supporting and developing the security work system.

The participants interacted with the laboratory’s themes by reviewing the best global practices and experiences and generating innovative solutions based on the use of modern technologies and artificial intelligence, which contribute to enhancing preventive and proactive security, raising operational readiness, accelerating response, and improving the efficiency of using resources, leading to a more flexible and sustainable security system that supports the quality of life of society.
