The Opta network, which specializes in football statistics and analysis, revealed the five most influential players in terms of scoring goals in the current World Cup, which will be closed next Sunday, in a list that witnessed the presence of an Arab player, while legends such as the Argentine Lionel Messi and the Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo were absent from the top positions.

The network indicated that Frenchman Michael Oliset ranks first on the list with a total of five assists, one pass behind each of Brazilian Bruno Guimarães and Moroccan Ibrahim Diaz, who shared second place with a total of four assists, while Mexican Roberto Alvarado and Swede Alexander Isak ranked joint-fourth with a total of three assists.

The network confirmed that, during his career in the current World Cup, Messi was content with providing two decisive passes to his teammates, while Cristiano Ronaldo left the tournament without providing any decisive pass, after Portugal was eliminated from the round of 16 by losing to Spain.
