“Thank you Emirates” documents 160,000 letters of thanks… and targets one million to turn into a national registry for generations

The Security Industry Regulatory Agency, in cooperation with Dubai Customs, organized the “Thank you UAE” campaign event at the main building of Dubai Customs, as one of the first field stations for the campaign, which allows citizens, residents, visitors and friends of the Emirates to record messages of thanks to the UAE through its electronic platform, documenting their experiences in the country.
The Director General of Dubai Customs, Dr. Abdullah Busnad, in the presence of the CEO of the Security Industry Regulatory Agency, Khalifa Ibrahim Al-Sulais, officially inaugurated the department’s participation in the campaign by recording the first message of thanks through its digital platform, and Dubai Customs employees participated by recording their messages through the dedicated tablets on the site, provided that participation continues through the electronic platform in front of all the department’s employees and customers.
Khalifa Ibrahim Al-Sulais said: “The most beautiful thing a person can give to the homeland that embraces him is a sincere word of gratitude. Since the establishment of the Union, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God have mercy on him, has established an approach that makes the human being the true wealth and basis of development, and it is an approach that our wise leadership continues to build on. The number of messages recorded in the campaign to date has reached 160,000 messages, and we look forward to a million messages that will be transformed into a national record that preserves these experiences for future generations.
Al-Sulais explained that the campaign platform has attracted more than 453,000 visits since its launch, while it has received messages from participants representing more than 136 nationalities. He stressed that the field tours represent an extension of the digital platform, and that choosing Dubai Customs as a first station stems from its national role and its position among the leading government agencies, with the program being transferred to governmental and semi-governmental agencies and private sector institutions in the Emirate of Dubai, before expanding to the rest of the emirates of the country.
Dr. Abdullah Busnad said that Dubai Customs’ hosting of the launch of the field phase of the “Thank you Emirates” initiative represents a pride for all members of the department, and embodies the national status enjoyed by the initiative as a sincere message of loyalty to the UAE and its wise leadership, and a community platform that reflects the highest meanings of loyalty, belonging and gratitude to the homeland.
He stressed that choosing Dubai Customs to launch this phase carries national connotations that reflect confidence in the role played by the department, pointing out that the values of loyalty and belonging are not slogans to be raised, but rather a national responsibility translated into work, achievement and sincerity.
The campaign called on the public inside and outside the country to register their messages via the website: www.shukranuae.emaratalaman.ae.
