60,000 citizens and 3,000 companies benefit from the “Career Guidance Programme”

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation announced that more than 60,000 citizens, including job seekers and workers in the private sector, and more than three thousand private companies have benefited from the services of the vocational guidance programme.

The vocational guidance program aims to enhance citizens’ opportunities to obtain jobs that match their qualifications and specializations in the private sector, support the development of their careers, and enhance their competitiveness and job stability, through sound career planning and developing their skills in line with the changing labor market requirements in the UAE, in addition to developing job search skills, passing job interviews, and identifying appropriate job opportunities.

The program also provides a set of services aimed at enhancing the ability of private sector establishments to attract and retain national talent, and to support the building and development of attractive and stimulating work environments that contribute to growth, professional development and raising productivity, thus enhancing the competitiveness of the private sector and supporting its role as a major partner in achieving Emiratization goals.

The Assistant Undersecretary for the National Talent Empowerment Sector, Farida Al Ali, said that the vocational guidance program comes within the framework of the Ministry’s strategy aimed at providing an integrated system to support citizens during the various stages of their professional journey, and enhancing their active participation in the labor market, in line with the state’s goals in building national human capital capable of competing, effectively contributing to sustainable economic development, and actively participating in achieving the goals of the national strategy to attract and retain talent.

She pointed to the gains that companies achieve from the program, especially in terms of contributing to providing a suitable work environment to retain citizens, reducing the rate of job turnover and benefiting from the assessment of tendencies, through the program’s platform to obtain these services.

She stressed that the vocational guidance program will continue to provide its services to citizens seeking work and those currently working in the private sector as well as establishments, and to ensure that the program responds to the rapid changes in the labor market, especially in light of the positive results it achieves in terms of supporting Emirati cadres and establishments within the efforts made to contribute to strengthening the Emiratization process in the private sector, which is considered a strategic partner of the government in the processes of employing and training citizens in this vital and strategic sector.

The program provides individual and group career counseling sessions that focus on developing personal and professional skills, charting a career path, enhancing job stability, developing competencies, integrating and adapting to the work environment, and developing time and stress management skills, in addition to addressing other topics that contribute to raising professional readiness and enhancing success and sustainability in the private sector.
