Disabling an oil tanker that attempted to break the naval blockade on Iran

US Central Command (Centcom) announced that US forces disabled an empty oil tanker that was heading to an Iranian port, after it attempted to violate the naval blockade that Washington re-imposed on Iran.
Centcom said in a statement that its forces spotted the commercial oil tanker M/T Belma, flying the flag of Curaçao, while it was sailing in international waters towards Kharg Island.
She added that the tanker ignored several warnings and continued sailing in an attempt to violate the American blockade, which prompted an American plane to fire Hellfire missiles at the ship’s chimney and disable it.
