Abu Dhabi Police participates in the activities of the 22nd edition of the Liwa Dates Festival
Al Dhafra, July 16, 2026 – The Abu Dhabi Police General Command is participating in a field pavilion and in securing the activities of the 22nd edition of the Liwa Dates Festival, which is organized by the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority during the period from 14 to 23 July 2026 in the city of Liwa in the Al Dhafra region, as part of its efforts to enhance security and safety and support heritage and community events, as the festival is one of the most prominent heritage events that celebrates palm products and authentic Emirati heritage.
Brigadier Hamdan Saif Al Mansouri, Director of the Al Dhafra Region Police Directorate in the Criminal Security Sector, stressed the Abu Dhabi Police’s keenness to support and secure heritage and community events that contribute to consolidating the national identity and enhancing the position of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi as an incubator for festivals and cultural programmes, because of the important role it represents in sustaining heritage and transmitting it to future generations, in addition to its contribution to stimulating domestic tourism and attracting visitors from inside and outside the country.
He explained that Abu Dhabi Police participates in the festival through an integrated field pavilion that includes a number of police departments, with the aim of providing police, awareness and guidance services, and direct communication with the public, in a way that enhances its efforts in making the community happy and spreading a culture of security among visitors, praising the ongoing partnership with the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority in making the festival a success and achieving its goals.
He pointed out that the Al Dhafra Region Police Directorate has intensified its field efforts to secure the event site, by organizing entry and exit movement, providing police patrols to ensure the smooth flow of traffic, and providing the necessary support and guidance to visitors, ensuring a safe environment that enables everyone to enjoy the festival activities with complete comfort and reassurance.
