Completion of the latest wave of strikes on Iran

The US military said late yesterday that it had completed the latest wave of strikes on Iran, which it carried out at the direction of President Donald Trump, and its targets included the city of Bandar Abbas, the main port city in Iran on the Strait of Hormuz.

The US Central Command said in a statement on the X platform: “American forces bombed Iranian command centers, air defense sites, missile and drone capabilities, and coastal surveillance facilities.”

The statement indicated that the US military bombed targets in multiple locations, including Bandar Abbas, which includes the largest Iranian port and major facilities belonging to the Navy and the Revolutionary Guard on the Strait of Hormuz.

The statement added, “Earlier this morning, American forces bombed coastal sites for defense systems and cruise missiles on Greater Tunb Island during a wave that lasted 90 minutes.”
