The Ministry of Health is preparing to launch the eighth session of “Health Performance”

The Ministry of Health, in strategic partnership with the National Health Insurance Center, is preparing to launch the eighth session of the “Health Performance Award”, in a step that reflects the integration of national efforts to enhance institutional excellence, stimulate continuous improvement in health facilities, and enable them to adopt best practices, which is reflected in the quality of health services provided to beneficiaries, and raises the efficiency and sustainability of the health system, in support of achieving the goals of the health sector transformation program and the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, which seeks to build an “ambitious nation” with distinguished institutional performance and sustainable health quality.
The award ceremony will be held next September, as it is considered one of the leading national initiatives to measure performance and stimulate excellence in the health sector, through an integrated evaluation system based on best practices, and supports decision-making based on data and evidence, which contributes to developing health services, improving the beneficiary’s experience, and achieving sustainable health results.
The award covers six main tracks, including: emergency care, primary care, saving lives, maternal and child care, promoting public health and preventing diseases, in addition to the health services efficiency track, which was launched for the first time in the eighth session, and comes in strategic partnership with the National Health Insurance Center, with the aim of stimulating the efficiency of health service provision, enhancing financial sustainability, and establishing the concept of health value, in a way that supports the development of the health care system and stimulates positive competition between health facilities to achieve the best levels of performance.

In its eighth session, the award witnesses the application of an advanced evaluation methodology aimed at continuously developing the performance of health facilities, by unifying evaluation standards and measuring performance, and utilizing data to improve services, in a way that raises the quality of health care, enhances the efficiency of services provided, and achieves a better experience for beneficiaries.
The strategic partnership between the Ministry of Health and the National Health Insurance Center embodies a model of integration between national entities, which supports the application of best practices of institutional excellence, consolidates financial sustainability, raises the efficiency of health services, and contributes to achieving added health value for beneficiaries.
