The President of the Republic of Peru receives the Ambassador of the UAE

Lima, 17 July / WAM / Her Excellency Keiko Fujimori, President-elect of the Republic of Peru, received His Excellency Ibrahim Al Alawi, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Peru, at Her Excellency’s office in the capital, Lima.
His Excellency conveyed the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him”, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him”, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister and Chief of the Presidential Court, and their congratulations to Her Excellency on the occasion of her assumption of the presidency of the Republic of Peru, and their wishes of success and fulfillment of everything that the friendly people of Peru aspire to towards progress and prosperity.
For her part, the President of the Republic of Peru conveyed to His Excellency the Ambassador her greetings to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him”, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him”, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Presidential Office, and her wishes to the leadership, government and people of the UAE for further progress and prosperity.
Her Excellency affirmed her country’s keenness to continue strengthening bilateral relations and pushing cooperation between the two countries to new horizons in areas of common interest, in order to achieve the aspirations of the two friendly countries and peoples.
For his part, His Excellency the Ambassador praised the bilateral relations between the UAE and the Republic of Peru, and the celebration of the fortieth anniversary of diplomatic relations established on June 17, 1986.
His Excellency also touched on UAE investments in Peru and the trade exchange between the two countries, which reached $2.5 billion in 2025. He discussed with Her Excellency ways to enhance economic and trade relations and the possibilities of enhancing cooperation in the fields of energy, food security and artificial intelligence.
