"Zayed for people of determination" Celebrates Union Era Day by launching the documentary "We all pledged to protect the union"

Abu Dhabi, 18 July / WAM / The Zayed Authority for People of Determination, in celebration of the “Union Era Day,” launched a short documentary film entitled “Our All Pledge… We Preserve the Union,” recalling one of the most prominent historical milestones in the UAE’s journey, and embodying the values of unity, loyalty, and belonging established by the founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, and his brothers, the rulers of the Emirates, may God have mercy on them. However, the Union will remain the firm pillar of the path of development and prosperity, and that preserving its gains is a shared national responsibility.

The film carries a national message that expresses the commitment of the people of the Emirates of all groups and ages to continue the process of giving, to preserve the achievements achieved since the establishment of the Union, and to be inspired by the vision of the Founding Fathers in consolidating the values ​​of loyalty and national identity, and enhancing the spirit of community cohesion among the members of the nation.

The film takes the viewer on a journey through the nation’s memory, by showing scenes, photos and archival documents documenting the historical meetings that brought together the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, and his fellow rulers, which culminated in the signing of the Document of Union, the approval of the state constitution, and the declaration of the establishment of the United Arab Emirates.

The film also highlights the exceptional vision and common will that established a unique federal model that has become a global example of unity, stability and sustainable development.

The film reviews how the Union became a source of strength and immunity for the state, and a basis for the civilizational and humanitarian achievements achieved by the UAE in various fields, inspired by the wise leadership’s approach to enhancing community cohesion and consolidating the values ​​of participation and giving.

His Excellency Abdullah Abdul Ali Al-Humaidan, Secretary-General of the Zayed Authority for People of Determination, stressed that “Union Era Day” represents a timeless national occasion in which we remember the wise vision and firm determination of the Founding Fathers who laid the first foundations for a secure homeland, that union is the secret of strength and the guarantee of the future.

He said that evoking these historical moments through the documentary represents a message of loyalty and gratitude to the leaders who created the future, and a message to generations that the union is not just a national memory, but rather a renewed covenant and a shared responsibility to preserve the nation’s gains and enhance its path towards leadership.

He pointed out the keenness of the Zayed Authority for People of Determination to actively participate in various national events that enhance the values ​​of loyalty, belonging and Emirati identity, based on its mission to empower people of determination and consolidate their role as active partners in development.

His Excellency added that the film confirms that people of determination represent an integral part of the fabric of Emirati society, and that their achievements and contributions embody the values ​​of the Union based on inclusion and empowerment, as they continue their active participation in building the nation and renewing the pledge of loyalty to the Union and the wise leadership.

The production of the film comes within the efforts of the Zayed Authority for People of Determination to employ media aimed at commemorating national occasions, and enhancing awareness of the history of the UAE and its pivotal milestones, thus contributing to consolidating the values ​​of unity and societal cohesion, and highlighting the status of the Union as the greatest national achievement and the foundation of the comprehensive renaissance witnessed by the country.
