Bahrain University of Technology launches its latest graduate programs in real estate and investment

Bahrain University of Technology organized the launch ceremony of the Master’s Program in Real Estate and Investment Management, in the presence of Dr. Diana Abdul Karim Al Jahrami, Secretary-General of the Higher Education Council, and with the participation of an elite group of senior business leaders, CEOs, and representatives of the real estate and investment sectors in the Kingdom, in addition to university employees and strategic partners.

On this occasion, the Secretary-General of the Higher Education Council stressed the importance of enhancing the readiness of higher education institutions to keep pace with the rapid changes in the higher education system in line with the priorities of developing outcomes and providing multiple and flexible academic options, in order to align scientific outputs with national priorities, noting the vital role that the Council plays in reviewing and licensing qualitative academic programs that meet the needs of the labor market and provide opportunities and numbers of qualified national cadres capable of competing in local, regional and international work alike for interested students. During the ceremony, Dr. Hassan Al-Mulla, President of Bahrain University of Technology, delivered a speech in which he stressed that the Master’s program in Real Estate and Investment Management reflects the depth of the university’s commitment to providing qualitative education that focuses on industry requirements and aligning academic curricula with the reality of the business sector, with the aim of preparing graduates armed with the advanced expertise and modern knowledge necessary to support the continuous development of the real estate, investment, and real estate evaluation sectors in the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Gulf states, and global markets.

To celebrate the launch of the program, the University President announced the provision of five 50% scholarships to qualified applicants, generously sponsored by the university’s strategic partner, GFH Bank, with the selection criteria to be announced soon on the university’s social media platforms.

Mr. Majid Al Khan, Board Member and CEO of Infracorp, also delivered a keynote speech in which he shared his vision and long experience in the fields of infrastructure and investment, stressing the importance of building future leaders to enable them to drive innovation and sustainable development in the real estate sector.

For his part, Engineer Arif Hagras, President of the Bahrain Real Estate Development Association, welcomed the launch of this qualitative program and its expected contribution to raising professional standards and raising the efficiency of workers in the real estate and real estate development sectors in the Kingdom. Hagras emphasized the growing need for precise specialized expertise in the fields of real estate valuation, asset management, market analysis, and sustainable development, stressing at the same time the great importance of building bridges of cooperation and integration between academic and industrial circles to prepare future professional cadres capable of responding to constantly changing market requirements.

The ceremony also witnessed the organization of a panel discussion moderated by the architect and urban development specialist Maryam Al Nuaimi, which brought together an elite group of the sector’s most prominent leaders and executives, namely: Mr. Adnan Hassan Mahmoud (founder of Carlton Properties), Dr. Muhammad Al-Abed (Head of Project Management at Infracorp), Ms. Iman Al-Mannai (Head of Sales at Infracorp), Mr. Faisal Al-Dosari (General Manager of Esnad Holding Company in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia), and Ms. Nour Al-Kooheji, Head of Finance, Real Estate Infrastructure Investments. Based on their diverse experiences in the fields of real estate development, project management, sales, investment and finance, the participants discussed current market trends, available investment opportunities, sustainable development practices, digital transformation and the growing role of technology in shaping the future of the real estate sector. The seminar also highlighted the growing need for skilled cadres in real estate evaluation, asset management, market analysis, and strategic planning, stressing that the partnership between the academic and industrial sectors is the basic foundation for developing equipped talents that meet the needs of the growing real estate market in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Arabian Gulf region in general.

In this context, Bahrain University of Technology has opened the door to accepting applications for enrollment in the program for the batch that will start in September 2026, paving the way for students and professionals to develop their scientific and practical expertise in line with the changing needs of the real estate sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the regional market as a whole.

In conjunction with the inauguration ceremony, the university announced the provision of a 20% scholarship to the first (inaugural) batch. Emphasizing its firm commitment to expanding access to high-quality postgraduate education. This program constitutes the latest qualitative addition to the growing portfolio of academic programs at Bahrain University of Technology, which consolidates its mission of providing business-focused education that links knowledge with professional reality within a modern educational environment with international standards.
