"Trends Global" and"Liwa University" They sign a memorandum of understanding to enhance research cooperation

ABU DHABI, 22nd July, 2017 (WAM) – Trends Global, a subsidiary of the Trends Group, signed a memorandum of understanding and cooperation with Liwa University, with the aim of strengthening the research partnership between the two sides and expanding the scope of knowledge cooperation in various fields of common interest.
The memorandum was signed by the principal researcher, Awad Muhammad Al-Bariki, Director General of Trends Global, and Professor Dr. Muhammad Mahjoub Diaf, President of Liwa University, as part of the two sides’ efforts to support original research based on evidence and facts, and use it to serve society and support policy makers.
Under the memorandum, the two parties will cooperate in conducting joint research that addresses current and future issues in the social, political and economic fields, in addition to exchanging experts and researchers, organizing conferences, seminars and workshops, exchanging scientific publications, participating in publishing research reports, as well as strengthening communication networks with local and international partners.
Awad Al-Buraiki said that the partnership with Liwa University confirms Trends’ keenness to build bridges of solid research cooperation with leading academic institutions, out of our belief that joint work is the best way to produce authentic and reliable knowledge that serves society and enhances cognitive development. He expressed his aspiration to activate qualitative paths for research and academic exchange in a way that enhances the presence of both parties on the local and international arenas.
For his part, Professor Muhammad Mahjoub Diaf explained that this memorandum represents a strategic step that is consistent with the university’s vision of supporting and enhancing scientific research and establishing a culture of development and innovation, pointing out that cooperation with leading research institutions contributes to the exchange of constructive knowledge and the production of qualitative research that fills scientific gaps and keeps pace with future trends, thus enhancing the university’s contribution to serving society and the knowledge industry that supports the national economy and keeps pace with the aspirations of the UAE towards a more sustainable and prosperous future.
He stressed the importance of the partnership with the Trends Group as it is a research and intellectual institution whose orientations are in line with Liwa University. Through this cooperation, work will be done to develop joint plans to launch research initiatives, exchange academic experiences, and enable researchers and students to participate in scientific projects that contribute to finding and developing innovative solutions to development challenges.
