Sharjah Police arrests a driver who drove his vehicle using a sunshade that blocked the field of vision

The Sharjah Police General Command arrested a vehicle driver who drove his vehicle using a sunshade, blocking the field of view while driving on the public road, in serious traffic behavior that constitutes a direct danger to his life and the lives of road users, and limits his ability to monitor the road and respond to sudden situations, which increases the possibility of traffic accidents occurring.
Sharjah Police confirmed that this behavior is considered a dangerous practice that affects the driver’s ability to drive safely and respond to sudden situations, and is classified under Article (1) of the Traffic Law, which stipulates that driving a vehicle in a way that exposes his life, the life, safety, or security of others to danger, or in a way that would cause damage to public or private facilities, is a violation, and its penalty is a fine of 2,000 dirhams, 23 traffic points, and impoundment of the vehicle for 60 days.
The Sharjah Police General Command confirmed that using any means that obscures vision while driving is one of the most dangerous traffic practices. As it results in the driver losing the safe vision necessary to drive the vehicle, and exposing lives and property to danger, stressing that road safety begins with the driver’s adherence to regulations and instructions, and refraining from everything that might affect driving efficiency.
The Sharjah Police General Command called on all drivers to be responsible, adhere to traffic rules, and not use any means or tools that obstruct vision or affect the ability to drive safely, stressing the continuation of its efforts to monitor and control dangerous traffic behaviors. This contributes to protecting lives and property, and enhancing the security and safety of road users.
