"Enriching libraries".. A service to support nurseries, schools, and educational centers with books

Launch a children’s book club in King Abdulaziz Public Library “Ithra Librariesand book learning centers,” in an initiative aimed at supporting Nurseries, schools and educational centers with selected collections of books, which contribute to building stimulating educational environments and enhancing the culture of reading among children and adolescents at various age levels.
The service provides various reading groups, carefully selected to suit all educational stages, starting from nurseries and kindergartens, through the primary and middle stages, all the way to the secondary stage, with a focus on the quality of the content, its suitability to the age group, and its enrichment. Sundos Al-Sharif, Director of the General Administration for Children, confirmed that the launch of this service comes as an extension of the role of the Children’s Book Club in spreading knowledge, establishing the culture of reading, and enhancing the presence of books in educational environments, which contributes to developing the skills of children and adolescents, and motivating them to learn and discover.
Accurate educational and cultural standards
Al-Sharif added that the service depends on selecting books according to precise educational and cultural standards, to ensure the provision of Qualitative content that is compatible with the needs of each age stage, and helps educational institutions provide an attractive reading environment that supports the educational process and contributes to building the child’s personality and developing his intellectual and linguistic skills.
She indicated that this initiative comes within a series of programs and initiatives implemented by the General Administration for the Child, with the aim of supporting educational institutions, strengthening community partnerships, and consolidating the book’s position as an essential tool for building knowledge and creating awareness.
She concluded her statement by emphasizing that the General Administration for the Child continues Working to develop its cultural and educational initiatives, in line with the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 in developing human capabilities, enhancing the quality of life, and building a reading generation that possesses knowledge and believes in the value of continuous learning, creativity and innovation.
