Dubai International Chamber opens an office in Angola

Dubai International Chamber has opened a new representative office in the Angolan capital, Luanda, with the aim of promoting the growth of trade and investment exchange between Dubai and Angola. This step comes within the framework of the Chamber’s efforts to expand the horizons of joint work between companies operating in Dubai and their counterparts in African markets, as the Luanda office constitutes the eighth representative office of the Dubai International Chamber on the African continent.

The Dubai International Chamber office was opened in Luanda with the participation of the UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Angola, Salem Ali Al Shamsi, and a group of Angolan officials and businessmen.

Executive Vice President of International Relations at Dubai Chambers, Salem Al Shamsi, said: “The opening of the Dubai International Chamber office in Luanda embodies our firm commitment to developing new paths of cooperation between the business communities in Dubai and Angola. We look forward to exploring new opportunities for trade and investment, and strengthening bilateral partnerships, which contributes to increasing trade and investment flows between the two sides, and supports our goals aimed at consolidating Dubai’s position as a global business center and a main gateway for expansion into promising markets.”

The opening of the Dubai International Chamber office in Luanda comes in light of the remarkable growth witnessed in trade relations between the two sides, as the value of non-oil trade between Dubai and Angola reached 11.6 billion dirhams during the year 2025, a growth of 47.5% compared to 2024. The number of active Angolan companies registered as members of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce reached 87 companies by the end of March 2026.

The new representative office will collaborate with the business community in Angola to strengthen relationships with key stakeholders in the public and private sectors. It will also promote Dubai’s competitive advantages as a global business destination, as well as provide valuable information that will help Angolan companies establish their presence in the emirate and expand from there internationally.

The office will also contribute to supporting Dubai-based companies to expand in the Angolan market, by providing specialized insights about the market, identifying promising commercial and investment opportunities, and linking these companies with reliable local partners, ensuring easy entry into the market and achieving successful and sustainable growth for their business.

The opening of the representative office in Luanda is part of the Dubai Global initiative, which aims to establish 50 representative offices around the world by 2030. The initiative seeks to consolidate the emirate’s position as a leading global business center, by attracting companies and foreign direct investments, and supporting the expansion of local companies in 30 priority markets around the world.
