“Food Safety” temporarily closes “Al-Nabil Catering Services” in Al Dhafra

The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority issued a temporary administrative closure decision against the “Al-Nabil Catering Services LLC” facility in the Al Dhafra region in Abu Dhabi, which holds the commercial license “CN-1515090”, for violating Law No. (2) of 2008 regarding food in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and the legislation issued pursuant thereto, and for its danger to public health as well.

The authority explained that the food control report stated that the administrative closure decision against the establishment came as a result of repeated food safety violations and the failure to implement effective corrective measures, which necessitated taking immediate action to ensure food safety and the health of consumers.

The authority confirmed that the administrative closure order will continue until the causes of the violation are eliminated, with the possibility of resuming activity after the facility’s conditions are completely corrected and all food safety requirements are adhered to.

She pointed out that the administrative closure and detection of violations comes within the Authority’s plan to strengthen the food safety system in Abu Dhabi, and that all food establishments are subject to periodic inspection to ensure their compliance with the requirements, with a focus on proactive protection of consumers, and ensuring that all establishments adhere to food safety requirements.

The Authority appealed to the public to contact it and report any violations observed in any food establishment or when there is any doubt about the contents of a food item by calling the Abu Dhabi Government toll-free number 800555, so that the Authority’s inspectors can take the necessary action, to achieve safe and sound food for all members of society in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
