المملكة: 50,000 participants and 1,200 scientific papers in the course of the International Engineering Conference

During the period from 14 to 16 December 2026, the capital, Riyadh, will host the fourth edition of the International Engineering Conference “IECE 2026”, organized by the Saudi Council of Engineers under the auspices of the Minister of Municipalities and Housing, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, with the participation of leaders, experts and specialists from inside and outside the Kingdom, to discuss the most prominent developments in the engineering sector and anticipate the future of the profession in light of the developmental transformations taking place in the Kingdom.
The conference comes at a time when the engineering sector is witnessing rapid growth driven by major projects and the expansion of the use of modern technologies and artificial intelligence. It aims to gather local and international expertise, review qualitative experiences, discuss challenges and propose solutions that contribute to developing the sector and enhancing its role in achieving development goals.

Pivotal role

The Secretary-General of the Saudi Council of Engineers, Musaed bin Abdullah Al-Otaibi, confirmed that the Minister of Municipalities and Housing’s sponsorship of the conference reflects the interest enjoyed by the engineering sector and its pivotal role in supporting the national development process, noting that the fourth edition focuses on moving from discussing challenges to innovating solutions, and creating a platform that brings together experiences and competencies to exchange knowledge and develop engineering practices.
He explained that the conference, which will be held under the slogan “We lead the future and innovate solutions,” will include six main tracks, in addition to dialogue sessions, scientific papers, workshops, an accompanying exhibition, an area for innovation and technical experiments, and a platform dedicated to agreements and launches.

The most prominent engineering forums

The conference is based on a record of successes in its previous editions, as it witnessed the participation of more than 50,000 participants, the presentation of 1,200 scientific papers, in addition to the participation of 70 governmental and private entities, and the organization of more than 25 workshops, which reflects its position as one of the most prominent specialized engineering forums in the region.
The Saudi Council of Engineers called on specialists and those interested in the engineering sector from inside and outside the Kingdom to follow the developments of the conference and participate in the activities of its fourth edition, in a way that contributes to enhancing the exchange of experiences, supporting innovation and developing engineering practices.
