Operating 4 new mosques at a cost of 25 million dirhams during the second quarter

The Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai announced the allocation of 12 plots of land to build new mosques in 7 regions of the emirate, including 4 mosques and eight mosques, in addition to operating 4 new mosques at a cost exceeding 25 million dirhams, with a capacity of 2,062 worshipers, as part of its efforts in the sector of building and operating mosques during the second quarter of 2026.

The department explained that these projects come within the framework of its strategic plans to expand the establishment and operation of mosques according to planning studies that take into account geographical distribution and population density, which contributes to facilitating worshipers’ access to the houses of God, raising the efficiency of religious services, and keeping pace with the rapid urban growth witnessed by the Emirate of Dubai.

She indicated that she continues to implement her projects in cooperation with the concerned authorities and donors, to provide sustainable mosques that meet the needs of society, and contribute to achieving Dubai’s goals in enhancing the quality of life, building a more cohesive society, and consolidating the role of the mosque as a center for worship, community development, and consolidating human values.

Mohammed Jassim Al Mansouri, Director of the Department’s Customer Service Department, said that the achievements achieved during the second quarter reflect the Department’s approach to anticipating the needs of society and developing its services to keep pace with the comprehensive development process in Dubai.
