Dubai Police continues its efforts to combat fraud crimes

Dubai Police, represented by the General Department of Criminal Investigations and Investigations, organized the “Fraud Lab” with the aim of unifying efforts and enhancing integration to confront fraud crimes and develop a more efficient system of prevention and response to support community security, with the participation of security and regulatory authorities, financial institutions, technology companies and digital platforms.

The laboratory sessions focused on building an integrated system based on the rapid exchange of information and clarity of roles and responsibilities between various parties, which contributes to reducing fraudulent crimes and enhancing response capabilities.

The participants discussed three main axes, which included enhancing the responsibility of digital platforms in reducing fraudulent accounts and advertisements, accelerating the response to reports, developing the role of banks and financial institutions, in addition to expanding the partnership between the public and private sectors, and making use of modern technologies to develop innovative solutions.

The participants stressed that the success of combating fraud begins with preventing the occurrence of crime and reducing its effects, in addition to quickly dealing with reports, in a way that enhances society’s confidence in digital and financial services.

The laboratory issued a set of practical recommendations to develop cooperation and coordination between concerned parties and build a sustainable and more effective system to protect society from fraud crimes.
