"Liwa Dates Festival" Provides a marketing platform for farmers and productive families
Al Dhafra, July 23, 2017 / WAM / As part of the 22nd session of the Liwa Dates Festival, the Dates Market displays a rich assortment of the finest fresh Emirati dates, such as Khalas, Dabbas, Al-Khunaizi, Shishi, Al-Zamili, Bu Maan, and distinguished “rarities” varieties from the elite of local production.
The market is considered the most prominent marketing platform that brings farmers, producers, and productive families together directly with visitors. To provide them with products that combine originality with innovation through 97 stores.
While the date market stores display innovative transformational products that have received great demand from visitors, most notably date ice cream, natural date juice, dried dates, pickles, achar and other products related to dates in particular, and date palm products and various date derivatives in general, which reflects the great diversity associated with date palm products.
The market was not limited to consumer products only, but rather formed a vital link to encourage sustainable agricultural expansion by providing the finest types of palm seedlings required by farmers, in addition to displaying the latest agricultural equipment and techniques.
