5.16 billion dirhams in “Dubai Financial” gains

The Dubai Financial Market closed trading yesterday, up by 0.237%, or the equivalent of 13.73 points, at 5799.04 points, supported by a rise in the shares of three sectors: banks, public utilities, and communications.

The market capitalization of Dubai Financial rose to 959.91 billion dirhams at the end of yesterday’s session, compared to about 954.75 billion dirhams at the end of trading the day before yesterday, Wednesday, with gains amounting to about 5.16 billion dirhams.

Shares listed on the market attracted liquidity exceeding 378.58 million dirhams, after trading about 87.23 million shares and executing 11,845 transactions.

During yesterday’s transactions, national investors tended to buy with a net investment of about 18.7 million dirhams, after recording purchases worth more than 173.68 million dirhams, compared to sales worth 154.98 million dirhams.

The shares of six companies listed on Dubai Financial, namely: Emaar Properties, Emirates Integrated Telecommunications – du, Emirates NBD, Dubai Islamic, Talabat, and Dubai Taxi, accounted for 74.44% of the market liquidity at the end of yesterday’s trading.

According to market data, the total trading value of the six stocks amounted to about 281.82 million dirhams, while the total trading value in the Dubai Financial Market as a whole amounted to about 378.58 million dirhams.

“Emaar Properties” stock topped the market activity in terms of liquidity by about 86.79 million dirhams, at 11.12 dirhams, and “Du” stock came second with a trading value of 62.7 million dirhams, at 12.1 dirhams, while “Emirates NBD” stock came third with trades amounting to 61.35 million dirhams, at 30.18 dirhams per share.

“Dubai Islamic” stock came fourth in terms of liquidity, with about 33.64 million dirhams at 7.46 dirhams, while “talabat” stock came fifth with a trading value of 21.76 million dirhams at 1.1 dirhams, and “Dubai Taxi” stock came sixth with trades amounting to 15.56 million dirhams at 2.12 dirhams per share.

For its part, the Abu Dhabi Securities Market ended yesterday’s trading with an increase of 0.708%, or the equivalent of 69.17 points, to close at the level of 9840.64 points, and the market capitalization rose to about 2.878 trillion dirhams at the end of yesterday’s session, compared to 2.864 trillion dirhams at the end of last Wednesday’s trading session, with gains amounting to about 14.34 billion dirhams.

Shares listed on the Abu Dhabi Market attracted liquidity exceeding 993.51 million dirhams, after trading about 189.224 million shares and executing 21,723 transactions.
