Local purchasing power index data issued by the Numbeo platform, according to the latest update for mid-2026, showed that the Kingdom of Bahrain ranked fourth in the Arab world, reflecting the level of consumers’ purchasing power compared to the costs of living within the Kingdom, as the data showed that Bahrain recorded an index exceeding 117 points.

The local purchasing power index is one of the economic indicators that measures the ability of individuals to purchase goods and services within the country based on income levels compared to the costs of living, as a higher index indicates greater strength in the purchasing power of the population within the local market.
