The German industrial sector loses 15 thousand jobs per month
Berlin, July 25 / WAM / The Federation of German Industries warned of the deterioration of the sector’s conditions, stressing that industry in Germany is losing about 15,000 jobs per month, but at the same time it saw that stopping the industrial decline is still possible if competitiveness improves and appropriate conditions for investment are available.
The Federation’s Executive Director, Tanja Juner, said in statements reported by the German News Agency (DPA), that the industry’s situation is critical, and that the gradual decline of the industry in Germany can be stopped, saying: “I am convinced that if we fulfill our duties, we will once again have every opportunity. Innovation is already at the top of the agenda of many companies.”
Gunner explained that the industry is going through a new transformation phase with artificial intelligence, stressing that industrial production gives Germany great opportunities. She said: “We have all the opportunities, especially in industrial production. It is in it that data, processes and experience arise.”
Applications that major technology companies do not have, and for this specific reason they seek to reach them.”
Juner stressed that creating conditions that encourage investments is the decisive factor in the success of industrial transformation, noting that Germany has lost part of its competitive ability.
Juner also pointed to the difficult international situation, explaining that the US tariff policy and distortions in the Chinese market have increased the intensity of competition, in addition to the accumulations of recent years, considering that this combination of factors imposes great pressure on Germany as an industrial location.
The Federation of German Industries represents about 100,000 large, medium and small companies, employing more than eight million male and female employees together.
