Trump meets with his senior advisors to discuss escalating the Iran war

The New York Times reported that US President Donald Trump held a meeting with his senior advisors and prominent members of his government to discuss the possibility of escalating military operations against Iran.
The meeting comes at a time when Trump is considering making a decision to intensify attacks on Iran, after he said in an interview with the Axios website that he is considering launching a “massive attack” and that he is close to making a decision, adding that the preparations have been completed.
The newspaper pointed out that the potential escalation comes after the collapse of the ceasefire and the memorandum of understanding that aimed to bring Washington and Tehran back to the negotiating table to reach a long-term agreement on the Iranian nuclear program.
