The Literary Authority concludes the fifth edition of the “Literary Partner” initiative and celebrates the winners
Literature, Publishing and Translation Authority Works of the fifth edition of the initiative "Literary partner" For the year “2025 – 2026”, during a closing ceremony held at the King Fahd Cultural Center in Riyadh, in the presence of the CEO of the Authority, Dr. Abdul Latif Al-Wasel, and the CEO of the Quality of Life Program Center, Khaled Al-Bakr, along with an elite group of writers and intellectuals, partners of the initiative, and representatives of cultural and media bodies.
The CEO of the Authority, Dr. Abdul Latif Al-Wasel, confirmed in his speech during the ceremony that the initiative "Literary partner" It established a national model for cultural partnership between the private and non-profit sectors, and contributed to expanding community participation and enhancing the presence of literature in various regions of the Kingdom, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
He explained that the initiative achieved, during its fifth edition, the participation of 220 literary partners in 57 cities in various regions of the Kingdom, who contributed to the implementation of 11,677 literary initiatives, with the participation of 9,240 speakers, while the percentage of new speakers increased to 68% compared to previous cycles, and the number of beneficiaries of the initiative exceeded one million, which reflects the expansion of its impact and the consolidation of its position as a national platform for supporting the literary and cultural movement and empowering creators.
Honoring the winners
The ceremony witnessed honoring the winners in the five tracks of the initiative, which included cafés, cultural clubs, associations, publishing houses, and shared spaces, in all their categories, in recognition of the excellence of their literary initiatives and their contribution to expanding participation. Cultural and enhancing the access of literature to various segments of society.
The total value of the prizes presented to the winners exceeded more than one million riyals, in addition to specific awards that included the best innovative contribution, the best representative of the region’s culture, and the best media appearance, in support of excellence and stimulating literary initiatives with a sustainable impact.
The ceremony concluded by celebrating the distinguished partners, and reviewing the most prominent achievements and inspiring stories achieved by the initiative during this edition, in confirmation of its role in enhancing integration between the cultural sector and the private and non-private sectors. Profitability, and establishing a sustainable literary culture that contributes to the development of society and enriching the cultural scene in the Kingdom.
