Flydubai will resume its flights to Budapest on July 31

Flydubai announced today, Monday, the resumption of its direct flights between Dubai International Airport and Budapest Ferencs List International Airport, starting July 31.

According to the carrier, this route will restart the direct air link between the UAE and Budapest, meeting the needs of travelers for tourism and business purposes and visiting friends and relatives during the peak summer season, in addition to providing seamless access to Dubai and more than 120 destinations within the Flydubai network.

Starting from July 31, flydubai will operate three flights per week (Wednesday, Friday and Sunday) from Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport, and starting from October 25, 2026, the frequency of operation will increase to a daily flight, providing greater flexibility for travelers and travel partners in choosing flight times.

The decision confirms Flydubai’s strategic focus on the Central and Eastern European markets, based on the commercial growth achieved by the company since the launch of its flights to Budapest in 2021.

For his part, Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations and E-Commerce at Flydubai, Jeyhun Effendi, said: “This route opens new horizons and promising opportunities for the trade and tourism sectors in both markets, with the busy travel season approaching during the fall and winter. By operating flights within the strategic code-share partnership with Emirates Airlines, travel agents and customers will be able to benefit from seamlessly connected flights, unified travel routes, and access to a vast network extending across the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Southeast Asia.”

The resumption of flights to Budapest comes after Flydubai recently launched its flights to Aleppo in Syria, Bangkok in Thailand, and Benghazi in Libya. As of September 23, the company will also add the city of Pokhara in Nepal to its growing network.
