The S&P closes higher and the Nasdaq falls

Washington, July 28 / WAM / ⁠The Standard & Poor’s 500 index closed higher today, Tuesday, amid anticipation of corporate results.

According to preliminary data, the Standard & Poor’s 500 rose by 17.07 points, or 0.23 percent, to 7,430.25 points.

The Nasdaq Composite Index fell 58.88 points, or 0.24 percent, to 24,873.20 points, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 546.61 points, or 1.05 percent, to 52,756.69 points.
