Yousra is betting on diversity… two films and a series in one season

The artist, Yousra, is preparing to return strongly to the artistic scene during the coming period, through a group of dramatic and cinematic projects that reflect a new stage in her career, after a period of absence from television drama since her participation in the Ramadan 2023 season through the series “100 Thank God for Safety.” Her new works range from social drama, romance, and cinema, in addition to a different experience that mixes fantasy and time travel.

While Yousra recently finished filming the series “Qalb Shams,” she also began preparations for a new series titled “Domino,” in parallel with waiting for the films “Sitt Lama” and “Faten’s Daughters” to be released in cinemas.

A diverse return to the screen

The series “Qalb Shams” is one of the most anticipated works. It brings together Yousra for the first time with director Mohamed Sami, through whom he experiences his first acting experiences, in addition to directing the work. The events of the series take place in a social and romantic context, highlighting family relationships and the challenges and influential human situations they face within Egyptian society.

An elite group of stars are participating in the action tournament, including Dora, Engy Al-Moqaddam, Sawsan Badr, Intisar, Basant Shawky, Mahmoud Qabil, Ashraf Zaki, Nour Ihab, Edward, Ahmed Wafik, Amr Heba, Tawana El Gohary, and Salim Al-Turk, while the artist Elham Shaheen appears as a guest of honor.

Anticipated cinematic experiences

In the cinema, Yusra is waiting for the screening of the movie “The Woman for What”, during which she presents the media personality Dina Al-Kurdi, director of the Center for Women’s Empowerment, who launches a campaign through social networking sites to support women and confront a number of family and social problems, before the campaign turns into the focus of widespread controversy, within a framework that discusses women’s issues and challenges within society.

The film includes a large number of stars, most notably Majed Al-Masry, Dora, Yasmine Rais, Amr Abdel Jalil, Mahmoud Al-Bazawi, Rania Mansour, Intisar, Rehab El-Gamal, Ahmed Siam, Donia Sami, Mohamed Gomaa, and Shaima Seif, along with a number of guests of honor.

Yousra is also waiting for the screening of the movie “Faten’s Daughters,” which is inspired by a true story, and whose events revolve around a love story that faces family rejection and harsh circumstances, before a secret inside Faten’s house turns the entire course of events. The film stars Hoda Al-Mufti, Basem Samra, Mustafa Shehata, Islam Mubarak, Basma Nabil, and Hamdi Heikal, while the artist Hassan Malek appears as a guest of honour. The film is written by Amina Mustafa and Mohamed Nader, and directed by Mohamed Nader, and it is expected to be released in cinemas in the coming period.

Fantasy and time travel

In parallel with these works, Yousra began preparing for a new series entitled “Domino”, in cooperation with director Walid Mahmoud, who revealed that the project is still in the preparation stage and selecting the heroes of the work, explaining that the series consists of 15 episodes, and is written by Nour Al-Samaa Khalaf.

Walid Mahmoud explained that the events of “Domino” take place within a romantic framework mixed with elements of fantasy. He poses an unconventional philosophical question: “Why does a week consist of seven days and not six or eight?”, before the events begin on a journey that includes time travel, pointing out that the story will give the viewer the feeling that he has gone through some of its events before.

He pointed out that the character that Yousra will embody will be completely different from all of her previous roles, stressing that the work includes six main characters alongside her, while the process of nominating the rest of the actors is still ongoing, and the start date of filming or the timing of the show’s presentation has not yet been decided, whether within the Ramadan 2027 season or in the show season outside of Ramadan.
