After playing this role, a famous actress is threatened

The case of the slaughter of Mansoura University student Naira Ashraf has returned to the forefront again, a year and a half after the death sentence was carried out against her killer.

Her family threatened to prosecute an Egyptian artist who revealed that she will portray the role of the murdered girl in a series that will be broadcast on a local satellite channel soon.

Actress Mayan Al-Sayed appeared in the official promo of the series “His Hour and His Date,” scheduled to be shown starting next Thursday, and it became clear that she would embody the role of the student who was slaughtered in front of the university gate by her colleague, Mohamed Adel.

According to what was revealed from the events of the series, Al-Sayed will discuss the student’s journey from her city to the gates of the university, to attend a college exam before she was slaughtered in front of everyone.

Although the series has not started broadcasting yet and the artist has not issued anything clarifying that she will play the role of Naira, the girl’s family’s lawyer threatened to pursue Al-Sayed legally.

Lawyer Khaled Abdel Rahman said that if the news of Ashraf’s character and case being embodied within the events of the series is true, he will take the necessary legal measures against those responsible for this work, including the author, director, and actress, adding that embodying the role of Naira is not permissible without written approval from her father and her defense.

In turn, Shorouk Ashraf, the student’s sister, wrote on her official Facebook account that it is not permissible to play the role of her sister without the family’s permission, threatening to file a lawsuit to cancel the show.

The case of Naira Ashraf sparked terror in the Egyptian street, as Egyptians woke up in June 2022 to a bloody tragedy after a video clip circulated of a student slaughtering his colleague in front of the gate of Mansoura University in a shocking and bloody scene. (Arabic)
