المملكة: Full results… Local professionals compete in 6 rounds at the Falcons Festival
On Wednesday, competitions for local professionals were held at the King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival 2024, which is organized by the Saudi Falcons Club until December 19, at the club’s headquarters in Malham (north of Riyadh), with prizes worth more than 36 million riyals.
The qualifying rounds for local professionals witnessed the participation of 249 falconers who competed in 6 rounds in the categories of Mathlouth Gir Farkh, Mathlouth Gir Qarnas, Gir Pure Farkh, Gir Pure Qarnas, Har Farkh, and Har Qarnas.
From each round, 7 participants qualified for the final rounds.
Results of the six rounds
The falcon (Alia) of Sultan Real Estate Company succeeded in obtaining first place in the Mathlouth Jir Farkh race competition, and (Moazza) by Sultan Al-Qahtani came in second place, and (Al-Dhiba) by Muhammad Al-Maymouni came in third.
In the Jir Qarnas Mathlouth category, the second half, (D11) by Muhammad Al-Maimoni achieved first place, ahead of (G600) by Abdulaziz Al-Fadhli, and (022) by Faisal Al-Qahtani in second and third places, respectively.
The third half was devoted to the Gear Pure Chicken category, in which “Return” by Faisal Bin Jumaa won first place, “Punishment” by Majid Al-Huwaishli came in second place, and (25) by Rimas Al-Khalif came in third place.
In the fourth round of the Gear Pure Qarnas category, (Basil) by Turki Al-Qahtani won first place, (Lawyer) by Abdullah Al-Ajmi came in second place, and (B25) by Noura Al-Mansouri came in third place.
In the fifth round, which was allocated to the Har Farkh category, “Shaklan” by the Najd team achieved first place, “Mansouri” by Nayef Bin Labda came in second place, and “Mishaan” by Saeed Al Marri came in third place.
The second day’s competitions concluded with a Qarnas freestyle, and “Al-Mashi” by Hamad Al-Marri won first place, “Mawafaq” by Miteb Al-Qahtani came in second place, and “Al-Shahm” by Abdullah Al-Mousa came in third place.
The largest gathering of falcons
The King Abdulaziz Falcon Festival is the largest gathering of falcons in the world, as it was able to enter the Guinness Book of World Records 3 times in terms of the number of participating falcons.
It brings together the elite of local and international falconers, and aims to enhance the cultural heritage related to falconry, revive competition in the heritage hobby, and ensure its sustainability and transfer to future generations.
