المملكة: Adding professional development hours for teachers via the “Fares” system

The Ministry of Education stressed the importance of enabling male and female teachers to register professional development activities through the Fars system, as part of its efforts to enhance educational efficiency and develop the skills of educational personnel.
This procedure targets occupants of educational positions, as the Fares system allows them to add hours for professional activities according to specific steps to ensure transparency and accuracy in recording data.

Professional development for teachers

The Ministry explained that the process begins by logging into the “Fares” system through the designated link, then moving to the employee’s self-service authority.
From there, teachers can choose the “Professional Development for Teachers” section to add data on professional activities, including documenting the hours owed and submitting them for accreditation.
The Ministry stressed the importance of the role of the direct manager in certifying the validity of professional development data based on the official documents submitted.
It also stressed the necessity of reviewing the direct manager or the party authorized by him when there is a need to amend or add any requests.

Hours of professional development activities

In a related context, the Ministry indicated that adding hours for professional development activities is available to teachers throughout the year, giving them full flexibility in following up and updating their professional data.
It also called on all beneficiaries to adhere to accuracy in recording and documenting data to ensure speedy procedures and easy approval.
This step comes within the framework of the Ministry of Education’s efforts to enhance the professional development of male and female teachers, and to achieve optimal benefit from programs and activities that contribute to raising the quality of education and developing educational performance in the Kingdom.
