For her part, Crystal Abi Absi, founder and CEO of the Amazon selling department at Seller Society, confirmed that small business owners constitute more than 60% of sellers on the Amazon platform in the Emirates, as they run their businesses either as individuals or as small teams of three. people.

She said that statistics on the Al Mozon platform indicate that the value of the e-commerce market in the UAE this year will exceed $11 billion, and is expected to reach $25 billion by 2029, with an annual growth rate of 12%.

She pointed out, during her participation in the activities of the World Trade and Logistics Exhibition in Dubai, that “Seller Society” supports sellers in the Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Turkey to enable them to succeed on the Amazon platform, through specialized training programs organized in the Emirates.

She added, “We are very excited to participate in this event, as we had the opportunity to communicate directly with many sellers and support them in developing their businesses online. Sharanya Rao, Director of Market Experiments for Global Emerging Markets at eBay, confirmed that the company signed a memorandum of understanding with Dubai Commerce City last September, with the aim of enhancing cooperation in the field of cross-border e-commerce, stressing that the UAE and the Gulf region in general represent a promising market.
