He invited everyone interested in the field of e-commerce or who wants to start a new project to visit Dubai CommerCity and attend Worldive Dubai events, where they can interact, build networks, and embark on their business journey.

For her part, Crystal Abi Absi, founder and CEO of the Amazon selling department at Seller Society, confirmed that small business owners constitute more than 60% of sellers on the Amazon platform in the Emirates, as they run their businesses either as individuals or as small teams of three. people.

She said that statistics on the Al Mozon platform indicate that the value of the e-commerce market in the UAE this year will exceed $11 billion, and is expected to reach $25 billion by 2029, with an annual growth rate of 12%.

She pointed out, during her participation in the activities of the World Trade and Logistics Exhibition in Dubai, that “Seller Society” supports sellers in the Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Turkey to enable them to succeed on the Amazon platform, through specialized training programs organized in the Emirates.

She added, “We are very excited to participate in this event, as we had the opportunity to communicate directly with many sellers and support them in developing their businesses online. The UAE is a promising market full of e-commerce opportunities, and we look forward to supporting more sellers to be part of this remarkable growth.”

Sharanya Rao, Director of Market Experiments for Global Emerging Markets at eBay, confirmed that the company signed a memorandum of understanding with Dubai Commerce City last September, with the aim of enhancing cooperation in the field of cross-border e-commerce, stressing that the UAE and the Gulf region in general represent a promising market. In this field.

She said, “In this region, we focus on specific product categories, including auto parts and accessories, in addition to industrial and commercial products, for which the UAE is a major supplier.”

Rao added that “eBay” works as an open platform that provides sellers with access to more than two billion displayed products, and allows dealing with active buyers from 190 markets around the world, stressing that the partnership with Dubai Commerce City will contribute, in the long term, to supporting the system of sellers seeking to access markets. Global e-commerce.

It is noteworthy that the WorldDubai Forum 2024, which specializes in the global digital commerce sector, opened yesterday under the patronage and presence of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority, and continues for two days with the participation of more than 5,000 visitors from 40 countries.
