8 million users of public transportation in Dubai during the Union Day holiday

The Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai announced that the number of users of public transportation and shared transportation in addition to taxis during the celebration of the 53rd Federation Day holiday of the United Arab Emirates in the period between November 30 and December 3 reached 8 million and 1,724 passengers.
The authority explained in a post on its digital platforms on social media that the number of metro users, with its red and green lines, reached 3 million 37 thousand and 388 passengers, while the tram carried 122,668 passengers, while the number of public bus passengers on the aforementioned days reached 1 million 662 thousand and 134 passengers.
The Authority indicated that various types of marine transport transported 341,420 passengers. Smart application company vehicles transported 617,593 passengers, hourly rental vehicles transported 4,536 passengers, and taxi vehicles transported 2,215,490 passengers.
The Authority confirmed that the transportation of public transportation users to the sites of the 53rd Union Day celebrations took place smoothly and safely, thanks to the integrated plan developed by the Roads and Transport Authority, in coordination with the relevant authorities in the Emirate of Dubai.
