DUBAI, 5 December / WAM / The Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences and the Arab Education Bureau for the Gulf States today, at the Museum of the Future in Dubai, signed a memorandum of understanding to launch the “Distinguished Educational Award” at the level of the Bureau’s member states, in the presence of a number of senior educational officials in countries. This award represents an important milestone in the process of promoting educational excellence and innovation at the region level, supporting efforts to improve the quality of education and encourage innovation in facing current and future challenges.
His Excellency Dr. Khalifa Ali Al Suwaidi, Secretary-General and Executive Director of the Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences, said that this joint initiative with the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States is consistent with the long-term vision of the Hamdan Foundation, which aims to achieve sustainable development in education through attention and honoring educational competencies. For his part, His Excellency Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Muhammad Al-Asmi, Director General of the Arab Education Bureau for the Gulf States, stressed the importance of this initiative, considering that this agreement reflects their joint commitment to promoting excellence and innovation in education. The Distinguished Educator Award will be a new standard for honoring competencies that have made outstanding contributions to the development of education, especially educators, as we constantly seek to enhance the professional growth of workers in the educational sector and encourage a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
The award targets a group of educational categories, including school principals and their assistants, supervisors of educational units, educational service providers, and specialists in special needs and learning resources. The value of the award is 50,000 UAE dirhams for each winner, in addition to a certificate of appreciation, an excellence cup, and an opportunity to join a specialized training program.
