The MIT ICT conference recommends the localization of artificial intelligence applications in Bahrain

Participants in the twelfth edition of the Information and Communications Technology Conference (MIT ICT) recommended directing efforts towards localizing artificial intelligence applications and technologies in the Kingdom of Bahrain, as this is of great importance in developing services and improving their efficiency and effectiveness in the sectors of health, education, transportation, trade and agriculture, stressing that It is necessary to direct more attention to training the workforce to develop the skills required to take full advantage of the potential of artificial intelligence in a way that enhances innovation, productivity, and competitiveness of local markets.
At the conclusion of the conference, the participants pointed out the importance of investing in startups, scientific research and development to support and advance local artificial intelligence technologies, and intensifying international cooperation to exchange knowledge and experiences in the field of localization of artificial intelligence, noting the tremendous development witnessed by the artificial intelligence system and the radical change it has brought about after it It has proven its ability to predict, make decisions automatically, and develop its work without the need for human intervention.
They added that artificial intelligence technologies have become an integral part of daily life in various fields, and that their various applications are acquiring a special nature as they represent a basic pillar of cognitive development and the national economy, and enjoy high speed and low cost, which enhances sustainable development efforts, pointing out that artificial intelligence is currently one of the The most important priorities for the public policy agendas of most countries, and many national government initiatives focus on using artificial intelligence applications for development and economic growth, stressing that artificial intelligence is expected to add $15 trillion to the global economy by 2030.
The “Meet ICT” conference was held over three days in the presence of Dr. Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of Transport and Communications, organized by the Bahrain Technology Companies Association (BTech) and in cooperation with the “WorkSmart” event organizing company, at the Gulf Center. The conferences were held under the slogan โArtificial Intelligence for Allโ, and the conference discussed the latest developments in artificial intelligence, its applications and its role in promoting economic development.
