Unique performances at the launch of the “XP” conference for the future of music in Riyadh

The activities of the fourth edition of the XP Future of Music Conference kicked off in the capital, Riyadh, marking three days of music, innovation and cultural exchange.
The XP Conference welcomed global and regional music leaders, artists and innovators to explore the future of the music industry in this year’s edition that embraces the concept of “Thriving”.

The XP conference kicks off Riyadh Music Week, which will also include the Global Music Makers Summit, the Billboard Arabia Music Awards, the 2024 Music Cities Awards Conference, and the Soundstorm 24 Festival.
Within the framework of strengthening the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s position as a global center for creativity and culture, attendees on the first day immersed themselves in sessions, workshops and live performances designed to accelerate talent development and promote international musical cooperation.
Ramadan Al-Hartani, CEO of MDL Best, highlighted XB’s amazing journey and said: “We launched XB in 2021 with a clear mission: to accelerate the growth of music in the MENA region.

The creative energy spread throughout the Jax neighborhood on the first day of the conference, as participating attendees, who came from various parts of the region and the world, immersed themselves in workshops and music that built bridges between cultures and languages.
Cordell Broadus, a visionary entrepreneur and son of global music icon Snoop Dogg, brought a unique perspective to the XP Conference on day one. Speaking about his experience at the event, Broadus emphasized the power of cultural exchange and personal narrative.
He said: “Through the XP conference, you have the opportunity to share your culture and experiences, and this also carries a lot of hope and inspiration, especially when we listen to stories from different parts of the world, and to be surrounded by a group of creative people. The opening day witnessed exciting performances in the evening program that highlighted the vitality of the regional and international music scenes, as the leading Saudi DJ duo Dish Dash succeeded in attracting the audience’s attention with their distinctive electronic rhythms, which reflects the Kingdom’s prominent position in the global electronic music scene.
Egyptian hip-hop pioneer Marwan Moussa presented a unique performance on the “XB” stage, in which he mixed Arabic words with bold rhythms that inflamed the audience’s enthusiasm and pushed them to sing and respond to every beat. His performance was a testimony to the growing influence of music culture in the Middle East and North Africa region on… World theater scene.
