Championship competitions continue "Sharjah Kalba" To jump hurdles

Sharjah, 7 December / WAM / The activities of the second day of the Sharjah International Show Jumping Championship, three-star category, continue within the 6th Sharjah Kalba Equestrian Festival, which concludes tomorrow evening with the Grand Prix competition of the championship.
His Excellency Sultan Muhammad Khalifa Al Yahyai, Director General of Al Shaqa Equestrian and Racing Club and Director of the Championship, said that the championship awaits a promising future of promotion after it had the important factors available for its promotion, including the distinction of the location and the level of participation to become one of the main international championships in the Emirates, pointing out that the championship comes within the Sharjah Kalba Festival. The sixth equestrian festival is an integrated festival that includes show jumping, Arabian horse camels, and dressage for two weeks on the beach of Kalba. We expect to add a new activity within the activities of next year’s festival.
Lebanese international referee Karim Badaro said that the tournament is a new initiative for an arena with international standards on the shore of the sea that combines the pleasure of watching the competitions on a sandy arena and looking at the sea waves and enjoying them, praising the effort based on high-level engineering principles, including the civil, electrical and sports aspects, to ensure the continuation of the event with the safety of the riders. The championship competitions concluded its second day yesterday evening after the announcement of the victory of the Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club’s jockey, Hamid Abdullah Al Muhairi, and the horse “Dubai” (11 years old), a jumping horse from Al Sheraa Stables. The course was designed with barriers reaching a height of 140 cm, and 49 riders competed in it. 9 riders completed the two stages without error, and Al Muhairi topped them, finishing the second stage in a time of 29.27 seconds, and the rider came second. The Uzbek Abdul Rakhman, accompanied by his horse, “Go for It B,” finished the second stage with a time of 30.92 seconds. The knight of the Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club, Hazza Hamad Al Dhaheri, received the third place award on the back of the wonderful horse, “Eloy,” ending the second stage in 33.03 seconds.
In a competition with the specifications of one round over the 130 cm hurdles, 45 male and female riders competed, and 12 riders completed the round without error, and the lead award was crowned by the Irish rider David Simpson with the horse “Lancer Luke” with a time difference of 55.31 seconds, and the rider of the Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club, Salem Ahmed Al Suwaidi, was not far from the race. Podium on horseback “Annie S of the Lowland Z” and won the second place prize Hassad He completed the round in a time that competed for the lead in a strong time of 55.45 seconds, after which the Iranian rider Farhang Sadeghi and his horse “Ghazaro VDL” were crowned third place with a time of 55.74 seconds.
Among the victories achieved by the Emirates Show Jumping Knights on Saturday morning was the victory of the knight Salem Ahmed Al Suwaidi at the top of the points collection competition with the “Joker” over the 130 cm hurdles. 42 male and female knights competed for the prize, of whom 14 knights succeeded in accumulating all the points (65) points within the permitted time, and the Swedish knight competed for the prize. He had the best time and completed the task of collecting all the points with the mare “Annie S of the Lowland Z” in a time of (47.82). One second and the second place award was won by the Syrian jockey Osama Al-Zubaibi with the horse “Flash Gordon 30” and a time of 49.06 seconds. The third place award went to the Egyptian jockey Mohamed Ashraf Abdullah and the horse “Fremor De Riverland” and he collected all the points in a time of 49.46 seconds.
