A cost-competitive product that contributes to reducing carbon emissions resulting from the cement manufacturing process.
Under the agreement, the Bartana facility in Abu Dhabi will convert brine solutions from waste into cement, which reduces carbon dioxide emissions and contributes to its absorption from the atmosphere, turning concrete into a material capable of sequestering carbon.
Partana cement complies with international building standards and can be used in steel-reinforced concrete. “Partana” cement has shown high efficiency and effectiveness when mixed with salt water. The new “Partana” facility in Abu Dhabi will produce up to 3 million tons of cement annually, equivalent to 10% of the cement market in the UAE, with plans to enhance its production and expand throughout the country and abroad.
Thanks to its innovative technology, Partana’s current annual production will reduce carbon emissions by up to 7.98 million metric tons of CO2 per year, equivalent to the positive impact of Borneo’s tropical rainforests.
The new facility in Abu Dhabi will be the main and regional headquarters for Partana, and will be established according to a model that enables it to grant the exclusive franchise of this technology to all parts of the world, allowing for rapid adoption in other locations.
