The Maritime Commodities Festival honors success partners and crowns winners of competitions

Al Dhafra, 8 December / WAM / The organizing committee of the fourth Al Sela’a Marine Festival yesterday honored the success partners of sponsors, supporters and participants in the festival, which is organized by the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority and the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club, on the beach of Al Sela’a City in the Al Dhafra region and concludes this evening.
Saeed Khalfan Al Mazrouei, Director of the Marine Commodities Festival, handed over shields and certificates of honor to representatives of sponsoring, supporting and participating bodies, which provide a range of diverse services and events, in an effort to support marine and heritage festivals and events and ensure their sustainability in order to present vivid images of the Emirati heritage for visitors to learn about and pass on to generations.
Among these entities is the Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Authority, which provides awareness lectures and interactive competitions to the public, with the aim of enhancing community awareness of the importance of prevention and safety from fire risks, and the preventive measures that must be followed to reduce accidents and enhance public safety.
The Municipal Presence Center of the Al Dhafra Region Municipality also reviews, through its participation, the most prominent projects and services, and organizes a number of distinctive community events, such as awareness and interactive workshops.
Through its participation in the festival, Tadweer Group aims to establish the best practices for collecting and sorting waste, and to promote the culture of recycling. It participates in the daily competitions held on the festival stage by asking questions in a simplified manner with the aim of educating and raising awareness, and offers prizes to the winners of the competitions.
The Abu Dhabi Pearl Center, affiliated with the Environment Agency Abu Dhabi, introduces festival visitors to the method of cultured pearls, the stages of their production, and the method of sorting and classifying them based on several criteria, including colour, size, roundness, surface purity and density.
Al Dhafra Hospitals, affiliated with Abu Dhabi Health Services Company “SEHA”, also provide a variety of medical services to visitors and participants, in addition to a group of awareness workshops held on the interactive stage related to lifestyle and healthy culture.
The Family Development Foundation participates through an integrated pavilion that introduces festival visitors to the Foundation’s programs and services in general and the Foundation’s Barakat Al Dar Social Club services in particular. It also provides cartoon characters that add an atmosphere of fun and enjoyment to festival visitors of all ages.
“Kenaz” Studio offers workshops, artistic and educational activities and events in traditional crafts and contemporary arts for all community members of all ages.
Among the entities participating in the festival are the Abu Dhabi Falconers Club, Al Dhafra Shooting Club, Zayed Foundation for People of Determination, the Emirates Red Crescent, and Al Rahma Clinic, Al Sila Branch.
Yesterday, the organizing committee of the Marine Goods Festival crowned the winners of a number of sporting competitions, including the running race, where the committee crowned the winners in its various categories.
The first place winners in the swimming championship categories, the winners of the beach volleyball, beach soccer, table tennis, badminton and women’s volleyball tournaments, and the winners of the kayak fishing competition were also crowned. The sports tournaments and competitions were organized in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council.
Yesterday, the daily competitions within the festival activities continued with the popular games competition, as well as the theater competitions, which are widely followed by the public.
