Nahyan bin Mubarak opens the “Formula” exhibition by artist Sarah Sky

Abu Dhabi, 8 December / WAM / His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, opened the “Formula” exhibition by international abstract artist Sarah Sky at the Al Ittihad Modern Arts Gallery, which celebrates the 53rd anniversary of the country’s union, and is considered one of the most prominent cultural and artistic events in conjunction with The conclusion of the Formula 1 races on Yas Island.

During the opening ceremony, His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak toured the exhibition, accompanied by artist Sarah Sky and invited attendees, who provided exclusive insights into her work and sources of inspiration.

The exhibition includes 53 artworks, symbolizing the 53 years since the founding of the United Arab Emirates. Each painting reflects themes of union, movement, and vitality, inspired by the artist’s multicultural background, her upbringing as a French-American in Morocco, and her current residence in Guatemala.

The exhibition is titled “Formula Exhibition”, and will last from December 7 to 20, 2024, coinciding with the dynamic cultural season in Abu Dhabi and the conclusion of the Formula 1 races.

The opening ceremony highlighted the power of art to unite hearts, as it brought together dignitaries, art lovers, and collectors from around the world. The distinguished exhibition provides a profound artistic experience, celebrating the UAE’s heritage and showcasing Sarah Sky’s interpretation of movement, emotion, and form.
