Arab League: Syria is witnessing the most dangerous moments in its modern history

The General Secretariat of the League of Arab States confirmed that it is following with great concern the rapid developments in Syria, and that the country is going through a phase that is considered one of its most important and dangerous moments in modern history.
The Secretariat stressed that the current circumstance requires all Syrians to show a spirit of Tolerance and dialogue, respecting the rights of all components of Syrian society, giving priority to the interest of the nation over any other consideration, controlling weapons to protect lives and capabilities, and moving forward towards completing the political transition process in a peaceful and comprehensive manner. And safe.
The General Secretariat stressed the importance of preserving Syria’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, while rejecting all forms of foreign interference, noting that these principles represent essential elements in the Arab consensus regarding the Syrian issue.
