The Ras Al Khaimah Police Air Wing (Police Aviation), with the assistance of the Search and Rescue Department, was able to rescue two people, an Asian man and woman, who were exposed to exhaustion while climbing to the top of one of the emirate’s mountains, at an altitude of 3,000 feet..
Ras Al Khaimah Police explained that a report was received from the Air Wing Department, from the operations room, stating that there were two people, a man and a woman, who were tourists stranded on one of the peaks in the mountainous areas in Ras Al Khaimah. Immediately, one of the Air Wing’s helicopters was moved to the site, and they were found and detained. Providing the necessary assistance to them, rescuing them, and landing them in good health.
Ras Al Khaimah Police appealed to mountaineers and enthusiasts of climbing peaks and heights in the emirate, to exercise caution and caution when walking between mountains and valleys, and to avoid going into rugged places or climbing to a high level that may expose their lives to danger and prevent them from being able to be rescued.
