The British Prime Minister visits the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, 9 December / WAM / His Excellency Keir Starmer, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, visited the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi, accompanied by His Excellency Mansoor Belhoul Al Falasi, the UAE Ambassador to the United Kingdom, His Excellency Edward Hobart, the United Kingdom Ambassador to the UAE, and the accompanying delegation.
His Excellency and the accompanying delegation, accompanied by His Excellency Dr. Yousef Al-Obaidli, Director General of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Center, toured the mosque’s halls and external corridors, where they learned about the mosque’s cultural message calling for coexistence, tolerance, and openness to others, emanating from the exploits and values of the founding father, and the great role he plays. They also learned about the history of the founding of the great edifice, the aesthetics of the mosque, the marvelous arts of Islamic architecture that were clearly evident in all its corners, the unique collections it contains, and the most wonderful works of Islamic civilization throughout the ages, in terms of arts and engineering designs, which, despite their differences and diversity, came together in the design of the mosque, to reflect The beauty of the harmony and harmony of cultures in one creative work.

At the conclusion of the visit, the guest of the mosque was presented with a gift that reflects the mosque’s aesthetics, a compass whose design was inspired by its chandeliers, and a copy of the book “Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque: A Stream of Peace,” the center’s latest publication, which highlights the mosque’s unique architecture and takes readers on a pictorial journey.
