"EBI" extends its contract with "Airbus Atlantic" To manufacture aircraft structures
Abu Dhabi, December 10 / WAM / EBI, which specializes in precision engineering within the aviation, oil, gas and defense sectors in the Emirates and is affiliated with the EDGE Group, has extended its contract with Airbus Atlantic, the aircraft structure manufacturing company that is a fundamental pillar of Airbus.
The contract extension, which runs until 2031, covers the manufacture of Tier 1 critical airframes for the A320 and A330 aircraft programmes.
The collaboration includes the application of EBI’s modern technologies using computer numerical control machines with a maximum length of 7 metres, as well as special processes and painting procedures within EBI’s fully automated certified facility.
Inspections will be carried out during the process and at the final stage to ensure manufacturing stability, using advanced EPI technologies, such as the 7-meter coordinate measuring machine, which is an advanced and accurate measuring system.
The work package includes airframe components critical to aviation, such as fuselage frames and floor beams on single-aisle A320 and A321 aircraft and long-haul A330 and A340 aircraft.
Michael Deshaies, CEO of EBI, said that extending this contract confirms the partners’ confidence in the company’s capabilities and capabilities to achieve their strategic goals, and also supports the common goals of EBI and Airbus Atlantic.
He added that EBI plays a pivotal role in Airbus’s efforts to increase production, especially with regard to the single-aisle aircraft program, and the company will provide comprehensive support to ensure that Airbus Atlantic’s goals and requirements are met, including skill levels, technology, systems, certificates and accreditations.
