Experts and officials who participated in the seminar, which was held in the French Senate and organized by the Trends Center for Research and Consultation in cooperation with the Council, in the Maunoury Hall of the Luxembourg Palace, under the title “The Conflict of Brotherhood Separatism with the Values ​​of Coexistence,” stressed the necessity of strengthening international cooperation in combating Brotherhood ideology, and adopting a discourse Conscious media, and developing cognitive frameworks to uncover the influence of extremist groups and dismantle their ideology.

The experts and speakers in the episode, in which officials and experts from Trends and France participated, called for enhancing societal awareness of the importance of tolerance and national belonging as a means of confronting extremism and ensuring the stability of societies.

The international seminar discussed several topics, most notably the sites for spreading extremism, where it analyzed the strategies of extremist groups in attracting young people through digital means, and tolerance as a model of coexistence by studying the agreements that promoted coexistence, such as the Alsace-Moselle agreement in France, in addition to the influence of the Muslim Brotherhood in universities, Revealing the group’s influence on educational institutions and disseminating its discourse.

In her speech during the session, French Senator Nathalie Goulet stressed the importance of international cooperation to confront the dangers of extremism and separatism that threaten societies, and stressed the role of unified policies in enhancing stability and reducing the influence of these groups, referring to the French experience in this regard.

For his part, Dr. Muhammad Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of the Trends Center for Research and Consultation, said that Trends and the French Senate share a concern with confronting the dangers of extremist discourses, pointing out that the Center has always called for an expanded intellectual dialogue between the West and the Arab world to understand the roots of the phenomenon of extremism that leads to violence and address it with comprehensive methods. .

For his part, Dr. Hamad Al Kaabi, CEO of the Al Ittihad News Center, stressed that coexistence and acceptance of others form the basis of prosperous societies.

For his part, Joaquim Bouillot, mayor of the city of Alonso and former member of the French Parliament, presented his vision on the impact of Islamic separatism on the French social fabric, pointing out the importance of working on the ground and talking with people to understand the contexts of extremism and know how to confront it.
