المملكة: “Pulse of the Earth” is an initiative to enhance community awareness of the challenges of the environment and desertification

The Environmental Awareness Initiative, one of the initiatives of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, emanating from the National Transformation Program, was launched under the umbrella of the Green Saudi Initiative. “Pulse of the Earth” campaign, in conjunction with the work of the sixteenth session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (COP16).
The campaign comes to support land rehabilitation initiatives and emphasize the pioneering role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in leading regional and international efforts to protect the environment.

Promote awareness

The campaign, which continues until December 15, aims to enhance community awareness of environmental issues, the challenges of land degradation and desertification, and highlight the importance of restoring degraded lands.
It also focuses on encouraging community members to adopt sound environmental practices to preserve natural resources, in addition to supporting and stimulating community and institutional participation in land sustainability policies.

Active participation

The initiative called on all members of society, of all categories and institutions, to actively participate in the “Pulse of the Earth” campaign. To contribute to preserving the Earth and bringing it back to life, through conscious environmental behaviors and practices, and working together to build a more prosperous and sustainable future.
It is noteworthy that the Environmental Awareness Initiative aims to raise the level of community awareness regarding environmental issues, and to establish a sense of individual and collective responsibility for preserving the Kingdom’s environmental resources, by spreading behaviors that support environmental sustainability among various individuals and groups of society.
