"Emirates Creativity" The names of the winners of the short story competition are announced

Sharjah, December 10 / WAM / The Emirates Creativity Society announced the names of the winning students of the short story competition (Tales from the Future) in its first session, which is dedicated to male and female students in public and private schools and universities across the United Arab Emirates. 90 male and female students from various schools and universities participated in the competition. The results resulted in: In the first cycle category, the student Aisha Mohammed Abdullah Al Shehhi from Dibba Al Fujairah School achieved first place. In second place was Rawda Rashid Abdullah Al Mazrouei from Aisha Bint Othman School for Basic and Secondary Education in the Emirate of Sharjah, Ahmed Badr Atallah from the American City School in Ajman (second place repeats), Obaid Saeed Khalifa Al Zaabi from Abdul Rahman Al Nasser School in the Emirate of Sharjah, and Jana Hossam Al Din from the American City School in Ajman and Al Hanouf Saif Al Riyami. From Al Narjis School, Abu Dhabi (third place, repeat).
In the second episode, Maryam Hassan Rashid Al-Ghafri from the Diyar Private Academy School in the Emirate of Fujairah won first place, followed by Latifa Adel Al-Marwi from the Emirates National Schools in Abu Dhabi, and Reman Abdullah Ibrahim from the American Academy School for Girls in Dubai won third place. As for the third category, the competition was won by Salam Samir Aqeel from Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University.
His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Khalid bin Humaid Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Association’s Council, congratulated the winners, expressing his thanks and appreciation to the participants in the competition and for enriching it with rich and expressive stories, pointing out at the same time that launching this competition in its first session comes within the framework of the Emirates Creativity Association’s support for the “Read” initiative. “You are in Sharjah” was launched by Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, founder and honorary president of the Emirates Publishers Association, with the aim of promoting reading, Highlighting Sharjah’s status as a cultural capital of the Arab world and a global book capital. This competition came as one of the results and fruits of the creative laboratory recently organized by the association with the aim of launching activities and events in support of the initiative.
The initiative includes a number of events and activities, which aim to enhance the culture of reading among members of society, consolidate Sharjah’s position as a cultural capital for the Arab world, and reach the target segment of children and young people, to prepare a conscious generation armed with knowledge and encourage them to read, write and create.
