20 contestants in the Dubai Grand Prix for powerboats

Dubai, December 10, 2024 – Tomorrow, Wednesday, the arrival of delegations participating in the Dubai Grand Prix for powerboats (X-CAT), the fifth and final round of the 2024 World Championships, organized by the Dubai International Marine Club from December 13 to 15, will be completed.
The championship returns to Dubai after an absence of two years, amid great anticipation for strong competitions among the elite powerboat sport professionals in the world, in the 12th edition of the championship that launched from the Emirates to the international arena.
20 contestants on board 10 boats representing the countries: the UAE, Kuwait, Britain, Australia, Italy, Belgium and Sweden are participating in the tour.
The organizing committee chose Jumeirah Beach 3 to establish the racing village, which will include the headquarters of the participating teams, the organizing committee, and boat maintenance workshops decorated in the colors of the flags of the participating countries.
Tomorrow, the participating teams will conduct tests of boat engines at Jumeirah Beaches, in preparation for competing in the final round of the World Championship for the 2024 season.
Mohammed Abdullah Hareb Al Falahi, Board Member and Executive Director of the Dubai International Marine Sports Club, confirmed that all preparations have been completed to host this prominent global event in the club’s calendar of activities.
He explained that this round represents the conclusion of the International Union of Marine Racing (UIM) championships for this year, noting that the club also hosted the opening event of the international calendar last January, when it organized the first round of the Emirates International Jet Ski Championship.
