The Labor Fund “Tamkeen” announced its support for increasing the wages of 25 Bahraini employees at the Gulf Hotel – the leading company in the field of hospitality management in the Kingdom of Bahrain – in addition to including 5 employees in the leadership recruitment program, in an effort to achieve career development for national competencies in the group.
This program comes in line with Tamkeen’s strategic priorities for the year 2024, which are based on three main axes, which are raising the rate of integration of Bahrainis into the labor market by creating qualitative employment opportunities, especially for new entrants, in addition to expanding support for the career development of Bahrainis working in the private sector, and developing The private sector by supporting institutions, raising productivity, and employing technology, which contributes to enhancing economic impact and sustainable growth.
Mr. Khaled Al-Bayyat, CEO of Growth at the Labor Fund “Tamkeen”, confirmed that enhancing the growth of institutions operating in the hospitality sector is part of Tamkeen’s ongoing efforts to support economic development and supplement the gross domestic product, due to the job opportunities the sector provides for local talents that contribute to developing their practical skills. “
Al-Bayyat added: “At Tamkeen, we seek to support the growth and career development of national cadres in the private sector by providing various training solutions and supporting wage increases. Accordingly, we are keen to strengthen our partnership with private sector institutions that believe in the necessity of investing in their national cadres and providing them with career development opportunities, which It contributes to achieving common development goals.”
The CEO of Gulf Hotels Group, Mr. Ahmed Janahi, also stated: “Tamkeen’s support programs for career development had a significant impact on developing our national competencies, which reflected positively on their performance and enhanced their productivity. Thanks to the wage increase program, we were able to encourage 25 Bahraini employees from various departments, and the leadership recruitment program contributed to highlighting leadership figures capable of assuming more responsibilities and achieving the company’s strategic goals.”
